Lump After Cathertizat Ion

GR 11: Sallent de Gallego - Ref. Respomuso

previous stage

I found a few days to cover part of what I was pending last June, now free of snow. .. The next stage of the GR 11 goes Sallent Gallego at Spa Panticosa, but as I know, better to divide into two parts, with a night in the shelter of Respomuso

Profile and other data

The GR 11 goes up the valley of the River Aguas Lipi, no There is no difficulty ... Summer, in Winter is an area with a high risk of avalanches, so for the time snowfall is recommended access to the Collado Respomuso Musala Biescas I parked in order to go and look after the bus (Alosa ) from Torla, where he planned to come ... Sallent went by bus and after eating and regulatory nap, go out of town following the white and red

should not deviate much from the valley floor all the way, at first, surrounded by meadows. On the right, the boundary of Musala, and left at the bottom, peak Montcalb (I think), including the Clean Water down the river

Shortly before reaching the reservoir of Sarra, looking Barranco of Pondiellos; peeks behind the Sierra de los Argualas

Vista back to Sallent and Valle de Tena

After a short road section came to the Embalse de la Sarra, a helicopter was up all afternoon and down ... I guess it would take material to power plants, high in the lakes

The road passes between beech forest and spectacular ...

... without deviating much from the Clean Water River. Giants begin to appear in the Pyrenees: first, the Arriel, right (2822 m)

The reservoir has the Sarra
behind

Follow the path through the forest, from time to time a waterfall that invites you to soak your brains

the beech
Silence is broken only by the roar of the Clean Water River

In Onso Pass, shortly after crossing the ravine at Soba, deviates the path to the Picos de Arriel

later with another waterfall (to the 1800 m.), rising to Ibone of the same name, also allowing the ascent to the Gran Diagonal Balaitús. Maybe when I grow up I dare her

To all this, the GR 11 continues to rise, slowly but relentlessly. The Clean Water Valley has turned to the east, and the vegetation is transformed

Ahead there is still a stretch. Musalo (2,654 m.) to the right

look back again ... I was taking it very calmly, but without the risk of night fell over me. The truth is that it was hot and sultry humidity, I ended up sweating

last tranche ... there is hidden behind the barrier of Respomuso

as I approach the dam, the Grand Facha (3005 m.) behind

Passing the dam discover that what I had thought the shelter was in fact the shrine of the Virgen de las Nieves

Now I have it a shot ... a little more and I will the sun

Shelter From the window I tried to guess what was waiting for the next day: Peak Tebarrai identified the right is the full Cantal to the left and behind Piedrafita ... so by my calculations, the Collado de Tebarrai should be the middle one, and there was up to the morning

was not entirely true, but I was wrong much ... He had heard of Collado de Tebarrai as one of the hardest hills GR 11, a step of those "legendary." Only a few hours foldable me to check
