Fred Meyer Airsoft Guns .

Matagalls from Sant Marçal (Dec. 2005) Autumn in the Berguedà

This is a summary of two outputs, a few years ago ... In a month I Matagalls twice, the first (which I did a lot of pictures) with my friend and namesake, Charles, who spent several days in Barcelona and went to teach, as he himself said, "a little bit of Euskadi in Catalunya", the second occasion, the April fools day 2005 will be remembered as the origin of Komando Butifarra Mendiak . It was the first time we met the Catalans of the forum, including a Basque assimilated, do not get to top, because I had to go whistling to work, but from there we had a group of wonderful friends that we're still meeting to go to the mountain. And last ...

is an increase precious, is less than 600 m. unevenness, and very simple, I think is prettier here that since Collformic. The route follows the GR 5.2.

The December 28, 2005 we were soon at the exit of the motorway in Sant Celoni, and when we were all about to go in cars, can not remember who was who threw what looked like temptation of the devil:

- Well, you should first go to breakfast, no?

Half an hour later, we sat at the tables de l'Avet Blau Santa Fe Sausage Komando was born

(Not which one is more dangerous ...) Three weeks

before going to search for Carlos Train Station Granollers, Sant Celoni hence to make the same trip, without stopping in Santa Fe, leave the food for the return. This saw the Matagalls in early December ...

... and so later this month. A thin layer of snow covering the top of the mountain

However, after the Collsacabra Cingles , the easternmost Pyrenees appeared pretty full ...

Sant Marçal Agudes them back. Looking toward that crest on the left, came the idea to Marc going to upload ... a couple of months later we tried and almost did not I tell

combining photos again and exit. When we came up with Carlos began to blur in the middle rise

Instead, the next expedition enjoyed a spectacular day

Coll Pregon was beautiful, it manages the roads that rise from Sant Bernat on one side and the Coll de Borduriol on the other. The summit is already shot nearly

So, three weeks earlier. We began to feel the wind force

In the second I turned out here, I had to return almost ran the car, then fuck out off home, shower, eat and go to train to get to work in Barcelona at 15h. And with how well we had, would again lack the time to do

It's funny but after a long time without paying any attention to Matagalls, this year we got twice (the first was from Collformic in March) and I was very close third.

However, Carlos continued to rise, eventually complicated at times, the sky was covering ...

... and get to the top wind was frightening. Carlos and Carlos at the top of Matagalls (1.696m.)

EDIT: Thanks to Marc I got the picture that went up to the top ... and one more
I was not there, word

: Berga - Baga of Noucomes (GR 107) - Cercs

This output fall as I enjoyed the few times ... The original idea was to stick a crushed more than 30 kms. between Berga and Gósol , covering a stretch of 107 or GR Camí dels Bons Homes . But seeing that he had come too late and was going slower than expected, saw me coming at night, so I stayed in Baga of Noucomes to go down Cercs , arriving at lunchtime. If and to the first part of the Serra de Queralt is pretty keen, descent of the Baga Noucomes and Peguera RIU ravine is spectacular, even in the middle of autumn

I get breakfast and I seek the Plaça St. Francesc, starting to walk at 8 am, not bad, knowing my background. I cross the road to Sant Llorenç and begin the first ramps of the Serra de Queralt. Berga and the valley of Llobregat wake up in the fog

After a first Repechón it will hit the road up to Queralt and Rasos de Peguera, this will be tucking into inside, behind the mountains rising ...

... while Camí Antic de Queralt staggering rises. Shortly after a road leads to the church of Sant Pere de Madrona (s. XII).
right

The trail, marked as PR, is gaining altitude quickly. Across the Llobregat stands the Serra de Picancel

The last stretch of climb is by stairs, sometimes carved into the rock

is short but tiring, it arrives first at the forecourt of parking , where an elevator leading to the sanctuary is also accessed by another set of stairs, the last.

Queralt Sanctuary, 1,150 m.

In the entrance there is a lookout with great views over Bergen and the surrounding area, the valley of the Llobregat, the Picancel ...

a few meters, a monolith indicates the beginning or end of the Camí dels Bons Homes, GR 107 or Route of the Cathars

Leaving

other local routes, the GR goes to the opposite side of Serra de Queralt; from a natural viewpoint you can see the shrine, which is now on the right, in the background Picancel

llanea The trail now in a thick forest, which occasionally reveals peaks that enclose the Serra de Peguera: the Cogulló d'Estela (1,866 m.) and the Rock d'Auró (1,989 m.)

After tracing a stream for a few meters, the GR enters a short stretch in a neighborhood near Espinalbet, then crosses the road from Berga to Rasos de Peguera and from there, entering in the sunshine, the forest begins to change prelude to what follows

The GR goes up, reaching the church of Sant Vicenç d'Espinalbet (1,235 m.) of s. XII, stood next to it once the Castell d'Espinalbet, which are practically no remains

From there, it goes up in a bad way ... not very long but I find it tiring enough for reaching the Coll de Can Rovira, my knees went on strike. Valley View Espinalbet from the Coll de Can Rovira, across the Serra de Queralt

hill next to a large open meadows, on the other side stands the Sanctuary of the Mare de Deu de Corbera, under Saw the same name

The GR goes through the boundary of the field, without apparent path until it reaches the entrance to the sanctuary, which is a few meters; behind, the Rock d'Auró and Cogulló d'Estela

From there follows a track, with good views of the valley of the Llobregat, the Montseny the bottom, left

More nearby hills and Picancel Catllaràs; Collsacabra far

After a few hundred meters down the track, a low variant to the Casanova de les Garrigues, farmhouse, in my guide is GR the route marked as "official", although that involves a considerable detour and lose about 300 m. tall, to regain later. however, continuing along the same track that came (not listed in the phone but is marked as GR), both gap is not lost and is much shorter. Mercantilist interest guidelines? Think bad and you will succeed ... Let's leave it

Follow the most logical route and within minutes I appear next to the house of Pla de l'Estany (approx. 1,500 m)

The house includes the name so I guess that makes few years was a lake, now dried. Yet wetlands are in the deepest part

Soon you reach the Coll de les Comes Nou, where the trail ends. Recharge your batteries and energy here and I appreciate my options: the possibility of reaching a Gósol day are zero, let alone my knees giving a sack in a while. I decide to continue on the GR to find the previous version of the Casanova returns Garrigues, and then find a way down to Cercs. As I watch from above, the decline will be in the ravine, which promises a lot ... beautiful colors and top

And is that from the Coll de Noucomes, then return to the shady, tree change, change the landscape ... and the spectacle of colors start

If the day you have a good camera and knows how to make pictures that will shock you ... because without have no idea, because I think they are as beautiful (even if I say so ugly)

Now that the media greatly influences; few bad picture can be drawn in the middle of this paradise

At some clear you can see the gully of Noucomes, with a piece of swamp Baells the bottom, for there will have to download

But while, to enjoy. I had no idea if I could get or how to re-Cercs Berga, but once there, I did not worry too much ... I tried to feel all the colors, wind, falling leaves ... anything that can not be mirrored with a simple photo

again reached the variant, not yet reached the bottom of the ravine, there is indicated a Local Path to Cercs, following the old path "Peguera train, which was to find coal the old mines of this town, now abandoned, and in line for a stretch variant of the GR. The main route goes northeast towards Peguera (close enough) and Gósol, much further. Desisto definitely in my plans, it is already past noon and I will not get No way.

By the way, how am I going to lose? If this very clear, no?

So under And now that I get fully into the Baga of Noucomes there to lend a photo to each and every one of the trees. In the few gaps that appear, you can see across the Vall-llobrega Cingles with a tapestry of autumn colors below

And by the way, fairly flat at all times ... to enjoy the view

Of course, the natural is even more beautiful, word

Again Baells the swamp at the bottom, with Serra de Catllaràs back. At one point the GR is diverted to the Casanova de les Garrigues (And back up to Corbett), I leave and continue down the SL

Arriving at Collet Mercadal, I see Cercs not far away, at the edge of the swamp

Above, forests surrounding the Casanova de les Garrigues, for there goes the GR

and face the Figuerassa Serra, is back there and Queralt Espinalbet

Anyway, I'm pretty down the path, now a steeper slope

until it reaches a track near the river that goes to the House of Mina, near Cercs, but to see "The Two Towers" I thought that I was wrong and was going into Mordor ...

are the remains of the old railway line, past trees before arriving at Sant Jordi Cercs ...

... and from Sant Jordi, down alleys, and came to Cercs anigua road, where I ate a sandwich deserved and I was lucky to find half an hour after a bus (last the day) I went at once to Berga, right next to where he had left the car.

As an appendix, I went to watch the sunset to Rasos de Peguera: Puigllançada area to the east ...

... The Rock and the Serra d'Ferrús Ensija north, crowned by the Gallina Pelada ...

... and west, as its name suggests ... as a brutal sunset, after the Port del Comte Sierra
