Previous: Solsona - Pinós
This is a stage a bit "transitional" for several reasons. First, because the scenery was pretty battered after the fires of the 90's, there are many sections peeled and very attractive, is perhaps the worst stretch of the GR 7 in this regard. It also has very bad combination of public transportation: we had to go with two cars, my brother and my nephew David Joan left him at the end of the stage, and came up with mine to Pinós, to pass to collect later. The other options would be to start from Solsona, joining 3 stages (as FEEC) in one, which remain in a beating of 40 kms., or from Castellfollit Riubregós, go up the GR 171 to the Sanctuary and from there down to Seguers (30 kms), something more affordable.

Leaving for from the Sanctuary of Pinos, near the hostel of the same name , the oldest of Catalunya
The above photo is from when we returned at noon, because the first thing in the morning was the day a little ugly. The Serra de Pinos separates Cardener basins (Llobregat) and Llobregós (Segre), so it has good views almost everywhere. The GR is directed toward those mountains in front, then the Serra de Castelltallat, which stands out cropped silhouette of Montserrat. Already said that the landscape is not the most beautiful, we were in the early days of winter and the spring probably be better
Pinós is a good vantage point to see the catastrophic effects of these fires, which almost reached the Segre. The Montsec left to bottom left, and right the Port del Comte. In between, the forests of the struggle to recover
To the north, the Port del Comte (left) and Captain of the Green (right) in between the Vall de Llord and Serra d ' ponds, where the GR low
We leave the sanctuary down the paved road that accesses from Calaf
The descent is steep, uphill should be criminal, and even more in summer and without a shadow ... The landscape is similar to that in the previous stage , from the Sanctuary of Miracle: little forest (and the little there, burned) and enough room, now to the Cardener side (east) ...
... and now to that of Llobregós. The GR 7 does not pass through any significant population from Solsona well into the province of Tarragona, all there are small villages and scattered farms. In fact, after a brief stage (1.3 km), the "people" Pinós goes virtually unnoticed: a church and five houses
Along with Casanova there is a paved road crossing (3.5 km), the right leads to Calaf and the left, Vallmanya and C-55 of Manresa Solsona. The GR is right to turn left at the next junction, usually between fields that leave a good rear view of the Pyrenees and far
Later, a new crossing: You can also access Calaf, through the Molson, on the one hand, and Castelltallat and Sant Mateu de Bages, on the other. The small town of Prades is on the left
From the junction of Prades climbs a small mountain, is behind the sanctuary of pines and the valley just across
To the west, the valley the Llobregós and the endless flat Lleida, invaded by the fog. First, some farms near the Molson
around here did not reach the flames; all are small hills and low mountains entity, which show
Montserrat
Shortly after passing the Coll de Trilla is hard to see the Castle of Molson. We entered the region of Anoia
And although people do not cross, no lack of human (or animal, in this case)
The next goal is in sight
From
Coll del Castell (10.6 km) take a detour about 200 m. to reach Castell dels Boixadors (s. XI)
is located on the top of the same name Turo (863 m)
We could not access, being all fenced, next door is the small church of Sant Pere del Castell, also of s. XI
From here visitors view the area to tour the GR, through the valleys de l'Alta Anoia, and right at the bottom, the Serra de Miralles, Montserrat (left) always present
We return to the hill and began the descent, again for the track and through Boixadors farmhouse, which name the castle and the turó
Soon after, to avoid a detour of the trail , turn onto a firewall appearing next to the small paved road, a pleasant walk through pine forests and fields, leaves us in little more than 1 km. in the end, the eerie halt of Séguers - Sant Pere Sallavinera. Renfe line currently closed for renovations, a bus makes the journey between Calaf and Manresa by Transversal
Eix
Pinós
On returning to the car, I went as directed to the center of Catalonia, a few meters from the sanctuary
The pity is that it has few views, it is surrounded by trees ... but no longer a curiosity
